COVID-19 RESPONSE PLAN: Updated July 1, 2020

As of July 1st, masks will still be required in studio at all times. Though the travel bans have been lifted, I am still limiting my clients to those residing within the province of B.C. These measures will be reassessed this once we’ve reached the final re-opening phase in September.

Thank you so much for your continued support and understanding. We’re almost there!

COVID-19 RESPONSE PLAN: JUNE 24, 2020

To my wonderful clients,

I am happy to announce that I will be reopening my private studio for tattoo appointments on June 24, 2020!

The health and safety of my clients has always been my top priority. I maintain the highest standards of cleanliness in my studio, and in order to operate safely and responsibly during the COVID-19 pandemic, I have made some additions and changes to my protocols to continue to keep you and myself safe.

I work privately with only one client a day and do not permit walk-in traffic, which is already an ideal environment for minimizing the risk of community and point-of-contact virus transmission. However, in addition to the regular standards of sanitation, disinfection, and cross-contamination control, I have increased my procedures to include cleaning every high-contact surface at the beginning and end of each day and will be wearing fresh PPE for each appointment.

Please ensure you read and understand this entire document before your appointment. If you have any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to email me at tattoos@kshocs.com

RULES AND PROTOCOLS FOR CLIENTS

NOTE: you will need to have completed, signed, and returned the waiver form contained in the email you received the day prior to your appointment.

In addition, please do a self-assessment on the morning of your appointment. If you answer YES to any of the following your appointment will need to be rescheduled:

 1) Have you or anyone you have direct contact with tested positive for COVID-19?

 2) Have you travelled outside of British Columbia within the past 14 days?

 3) Are you experiencing, or in the past 14 days have you experienced, any flu-like symptoms including a fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose, or fatigue?
In the event you need to reschedule due to illness there will be no deposit penalty.

A few other housekeeping rules that will now apply to every appointment:

  • Do not arrive more than 5 minutes early for your appointment.

  • Please come to your appointment alone; guests will not be permitted.

  • Please arrive wearing a new or freshly washed mask. If you do not have one, one will be provided for you. Masks are mandatory in the studio at all times. As of July 1st, masks will still be required in studio at all times and I will reassess this once we’ve reached the final re-opening phase in September.

  • There will be hand sanitizer available for you in the entrance way—please thoroughly clean your hands upon arrival and prior to leaving.

  • When using the washroom please make sure to follow proper hand washing techniques, and put the toilet lid down before flushing, leave the light and fan on and the door closed.

  • E-transfer is the preferred method of payment. Cash is discouraged but will not be refused.

PLEASE ALSO NOTE:

  • If you are from out of province/country with a piece currently in progress, your deposits will remain on file until you are able to come back in and I will make every effort possible to re-book you all quickly and efficiently. I will reassess this once we’ve reached the final re-opening phase in September.

These new protocols are to keep you, me, our loved ones, and all my other clients, safe and healthy. I will help to keep the experience as safe and stress-free as possible by directing you through the space and taking as much care with the tattoo process as I always have. Again, if you have any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to send me an email prior to coming in.

I truly appreciate your patience and understanding and am grateful for the opportunity to tattoo you, especially during such strange and uncertain times.

Katie.
