FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is your rate per hour?

My rate is $250/hr for the first four hours of a session, and $200/hr for each additional hour, up to a maximum of six hours/session—because that’s as long as I can tattoo at once! (This is subject to change without prior notice.) And reminder that my private studio is CASH ONLY.

Can I see my drawing before my appointment?

My schedule doesn’t really permit me to do drawing viewings prior to tattoo appointments, either in person or via email. But don’t worry—there’s always time for minor changes and adjustments the day of your first appointment!

How long is a session?

For the the first appointment, I tattoo up to a maximum of 6 hours. Any follow-up appointments are booked for 4 or 6 hour sessions unless we discuss something different!

How many sessions will I need to finish my tattoo?

This depends on the size and location of your piece, but anything larger than hand-sized often requires multiple sessions to finish. If you have time restrictions (ie. you are coming from out of town and absolutely need to finish your tattoo in one session), please let me know when you fill out a tattoo proposal form and we’ll see what we can do!

How do I reschedule or cancel my appointment?

As I’ve got so many people trying to get an appointment, cancelling or rescheduling an appointment is a 3-step process. You have to initiate it, I reply, and then I need you to confirm the change. Please let me know ASAP if you cannot make your appointment so I can reschedule you. A minimum of 3 days is required for any changes. (And remember: deposits are non-refundable!)

Can I be put on a waitlist / cancellation list?

In order to best and fairly manage booking requests, I no longer have a wait list or cancellation list. Any changes or book opening dates will be announced via the NEWS section of my website or instagram

Can a bring someone with me to my appointment?

Yes! You are welcome to bring someone with you to your appointment, but keep in mind that there isn’t a lot of seating space so try to bring only one person.

Where is the studio located?

My private studio is located near Main Street in Vancouver, BC. The exact location and details will be provided via email once you have a confirmed appointment.

Do you travel? When will you be in (town/city/country)?

I love to travel! All of my travel dates will be announced on my Instagram page.

Do you ever have flash designs available?

I also love doing up-for-grabs flash designs whenever my schedule permits. These are always posted on my Instagram.

Can I get tattooed if I am sick, taking antibiotics or pregnant?

Tattooing strains the body’s immune system and it’s so important to be healthy at the time of your appointment. If you’re sick when the day of your appointment arrives, please contact me to reschedule. I do not tattoo anyone currently taking antibiotics, pregnant, or breastfeeding, so please reschedule if your health information changes prior to your appointment date.

I didn’t receive a response to the email I sent regarding booking a tattoo.

I read all of the tattoo proposals submitted to me.  It can take up to six weeks to be contacted if I think your piece is a good fit for me. If you emailed within the 24-hour window when my books were open and didn’t receive a response, don’t be discouraged! Please feel free to try again during the next round of bookings.

Do you do drawings that I can have tattooed by another artist if I live out of town?

I so love and appreciate how many people admire my art. However, all of my drawings are custom drawn specifically for tattoos that I will be doing for that client.

Do you do cover-ups?

Depending on the piece, yes. I require an in-person consultation for potential cover-up appointments, and cannot guarantee that I will be able to accommodate what you are hoping to do. There are a lot of factors that affect covering up an existing tattoo, such as age of the tattoo, what colours of ink were used and how dark the tattoo is, possible scarring, or size, and my style of tattooing doesn’t always lend itself well to cover-ups.

Can you tattoo over scars?

Most often, yes. I also require an in-person consult for potential scar cover-up appointments to assess the area to be tattooed.

It is best to avoid drinking alcohol 24 hours before and 24 hours after your tattoo appointment. Alcohol thins the blood and can therefore affect the healing process; especially in excess, this
may lead to scabbing, prolonged healing, and colour lo

Can I go to the gym/work out with my fresh tattoo?

It is best to give your new tattoo at least two weeks before participating in any activity that causes heavy perspiration; movement that pulls/twists the surrounding skin or allows sweat
